We're a Kenya-based charity established in 1998 with a mission to empower disadvantaged communities through our humanitarian aid programs.
Our motto, 'time to share', reflects our commitment to giving back to those in need, regardless of their faith, ethnicity, or gender.
Over the years, we've grown steadily and made a lasting, positive impact on the lives of many people thanks to the generous support of our donors and partners. The humanitarian activities we carry out include educational scholarships, medical camps, water and sanitation initiatives, women's empowerment programs, relief efforts, and environmental projects.
Our vision is to continue building and growing our organization in order to help as many disadvantaged people as possible. We strive to carry out our humanitarian work in responsible, innovative, smart, and inspiring ways that leave a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
At the heart of our mission is the belief that we can instill a sense of social responsibility, altruism, and empathy among individuals to build a society based on love and acceptance.
The Omeriye Foundation is strictly Non-Profit. We count on individual donations from people like you to carry out our humanitarian activities in Kenya, and beyond!
In Kenya, only 59% of the population has access clean drinking water. Just 29% have access to improved sanitation facilities.
To combat water shortages, we drill boreholes in drought stricken areas. These boreholes provide rural communities with fresh clean water for their daily use.
It is estimated that there are approximately 3.6 million children aged below 18 years in Kenya who have been orphaned and vulnerable.
We regularly visit orphanages to spend time with the children, make food donations, and other neccesities. We also build new orphanage structures, and renovate existing buildings.
Only 3% of economically challenged people in Kenya have health insurance. Some rural dwellers have to walk very long distances, just to access a dispensary.
We regularly organise medical camps in conjunction with local and foreign volunteers. At these camps, we offer where free and specialised medi-care to remote communities.
Roughly 5.2 million people in the arid and semi-arid parts of Kenya are facing dire food insecurity.
We donate dry food packages and hot meals all through the year to people living in drought prone villages, orphaned-children's homes, and slum dwellers. Our foundation also regularly distributes fresh meat packages as part of our Kurban activities.
Many children are forced to drop out of the free, primary school system in kenya before reaching 6th grade because their parents are unable to provide them with the basic neccesities for school.
We help to ensure that these children stay in school by providing them with neccessities like stationary, sanitary pads, books and school uniform. Our foundation also gives scholarships to needy students and carries out renovation projects
