Omeriye foundation did not forget the vulnerable and under-underprivileged in Kenya during the holy month of Ramadan
During the holy month of Ramadan 2026, the Omeriye Foundation once again stood in solidarity with Kenya’s most vulnerable communities.
In a time when over 7 million Kenyans face food insecurity, and persistent drought in collaboration with different Government entities such as Ministry of Education , Office of Deputy President and Ps . Professor Shaukat our team mobilized across the country to ensure that those who needed the most received timely and meaningful support.
In line with our mission to support the most vulnerable members of society, Omeriye Foundation, with support from our partners conducted a hunger relief campaign across Kenya during Ramadan 2026
This year’s effort was marked by planning, strategic partnerships, and deep community engagement. We are happy to announce that this year, we managed to reach more than 100,000 beneficiaries.
“In the spirit of sacrifice, let your generosity be the light that nourishes the underprivileged and uplifts our shared humanity.”

All logistics and packaging took place at our Baba Dogo warehouse in Nairobi, where staff and volunteers packed and dispatched aid throughout the country.
We distributed aid in three main forms:
We served vulnerable households in Kisii, Kitui, Lamu, Marsabit, Laikipia, Kilifi, Tana River and Kajiado, with a special focus on widows, orphans, and food-insecure schools.
Notably:

Kenya is home to approximately 3.6 million orphans and vulnerable children. We supported 40+ orphanages across Tana River, Nairobi, Kilifi, and Kitui

We distributed 500 food packages in Kibera, Africa’s largest informal settlement. Beneficiaries included school parents and disabled residents.

Omeriye Foundation’s hunger relief package helped boarding schools students during Ramadan by supplying essential food items that eased financial strain, ensured students had nutritious meals to break their fasts, and allowed schools to focus on learning rather than food shortages, making the holy month more dignified and inclusive for all learners.
