Since 1998, Omeriye Foundation has drilled hundreds of boreholes around Kenya. These boreholes have been a source of water for thousands of households located in arid and semi arid areas.
Over time, some of these boreholes have fallen into disrepair. This year (2025), we have begun a renovation campaign to breathe new life into these boreholes; there are 3 different types of renovations listed below renovation process image.

Borehole has been fully converted from a manual to electric system, complete with 3 taps, a 2,500 litre water tank, tiles, and new signboard.

blockwork, tiling,piping and electrification

Borehole was functional, but only had one water outlet. It had a manual pumping system and needed blockwork, tiling, a tank and taps as well .

The new borehole strucutre was completed, and launched officially. It is now fully functional, with 3 taps to serve the growing community.

A new stone structure was constructed, piping, tiling and waterproofing were completed. Finally , a 2,500litre water tank was installed.

The borehole was initially manual, but the community members raised funds and converted it to an electric system . The structure needed to be fortified, a water tank and more taps were a necessity as well.

The new borehole strucutre was completed, and launched officially. It is now fully functional, with new tiles, and a fortified stone structure to serve the growing community.

The stone structure was reconstructed, some tiling and waterproofing works were carried out at the site

The borehole was constructed with a manual pumping system. Over time, it had undergone some considerable wear and tear, and was in desperate need of a facelift
